In a display of unity, almost every major Bollywood star has voiced strong support for the Indian Army and the government following Operation Sindoor, carried out by the Indian Air Force at midnight on May 7th.
As always, Akshay Kumar led the way with a heartfelt tweet. Known for his deep-rooted respect for the armed forces, Akshay’s love for the Indian Army runs in his blood , his father also served the nation. Beyond his numerous donations and patriotic films, Akshay had earlier collaborated with the Indian government to launch the Bharat Ke Veer app, a platform supporting the families of martyred soldiers.
Another big star, Ajay Devgn, who is currently celebrating the success of Raid 2, also voiced his support. Ajay, known for standing with the country in critical times, once again proved he is a real-life Singham.
From the glorious 90s era, evergreen superstar Sunny Deol also backed the brave operation. Currently busy shooting for Border 2 in Dehradun, Sunny’s association with patriotic cinema continues to inspire.
Adding to the wave of solidarity, Vicky Kaushal — who delivered one of the most celebrated army films Uri: The Surgical Strike — shared an Instagram story expressing his support for the Indian Army.
Aamir Khan, who is not personally active on social media, showed his support by sharing a story through his official production house account, Aamir Khan Productions (AKP), on Instagram.
Shraddha Kapoor, one of the most followed Indian celebrities on Instagram, became a household name across Asia after the success of Stree 2. However, following the release of Operation Sindoor, she shared an Instagram story expressing her support for the Indian Army. Although she lost many followers afterward, she showed immense courage by standing up for her country.
Harshvardhan Rane expressed his gratitude for the experience but announced that, given the current situation and after reading direct comments made about his country, he has decided not to be a part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 with the same cast. Every Indian is clapping on behalf of him.
Varun Dhawan has always stood in support of the country, whether it was during the Ram Mandir movement or other national causes. This time too, he took to Twitter to express his support for the Indian Army and the government.
Whereas Janhvi Kapoor took a stand firmly and without targeting any ethnic or religion group. Also, she’s quite active on all these matters in the recent times, be it road rage, violence or rape. Because when you’re at such an influencing & top position, it takes nothing from you to post & share your views without harming anyone or their sentiments. One must support the country they live in- they can or cannot support the government, it’s their choice. But their should be support & dedication towards the country & our protectors. Also, it also shows you can be opinionated, vocal about issues of nation interest without being political.
Apart from Bollywood, South biggies also extended their support to the nation. Allu Arjun expressed his solidarity through a heartfelt tweet, while superstar Rajinikanth also showed his support. Many other leading South actors stood firmly with the Indian Army as well.
Rebel Star Prabhas, who is usually not active on social media, shared an Instagram story in support of the Indian Army. The Baahubali star showed true courage, especially considering he has a huge fan following in Pakistan.
Almost the entire Bollywood industry came forward to support India’s attack on Pakistani terrorists. Celebrities like Sidharth Malhotra, Vijay Deverakonda, Nimrit Kaur , Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Kajol, Wamiqa Gabbi, Randeep Hooda, Sonu Sood, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Hema Malini, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Sanjay Dutt, Ananya Panday, and expressed their solidarity.
We are not pressuring Bollywood; we simply believe that one tweet or message from them can show that we are united. As an influential community, it is naturally expected that every celebrity expresses patriotism and stands with the nation.
